Children Are Still Dying At The Hands of An Abuser

Georgia's Children that have died which have came in contact with DFACS during their supposed investigations of child neglect and child abuse; the extensive research of children who have been abused in homes, foster homes, and homes of the biological parents.

    My research begins of children that have died prior to an investigation or in current investigations with CPS/DFACS. First, I would like to take a look into previous years of children who have died either in their biological homes, or their foster homes.

Way back in the early 1990's there was a request administered to the courts by the Atlanta Journal Constitution in requesting to take a look at the court files of deceased children who had contact or an open case with DFACS.

    First I will start with a well known child who we met in the papers and police reports and known as Terrell Peterson. The 5 year old who basically lived a tortured life of horrid physical abuse brought about by his siblings and namely his Grandmother. In an article written by a journalist at AJC, Jane Hansen, "Georgia's Forgotten Children"; There was noted by her articles at that time of over 800 children who had died that had came in contact with DFACS. I want to reflect back a bit on Terrell Peterson.
